Normal Serums
The preferred blocking agent for secondary antibodies raised in goats.
Normal Goat Serum (NGS) is the gold standard blocking reagent for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) protocols, especially when using goat-derived secondary antibodies.
Collected from healthy goats, this serum is rich in globulins and other proteins that bind to non-specific sites on tissue samples. By pre-incubating samples with NGS, researchers effectively 'mask' sticky sites, preventing the secondary antibody from binding randomly. This results in high-contrast images where only the true target antigen is highlighted.
High demand in North America and Europe due to the widespread use of goat secondary antibodies in advanced imaging and research.
